Meet The Team

CHERELLE PALMER, LMHC
LICENSED MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELOR
I am a licensed mental health counselor and founder of The Palmer Wellness Institute. I am passionate about supporting individuals working through trauma, anxiety, infertility / maternal health, and life transitions. I strive to create a safe and warm environment that can help create the foundation of a healthy therapeutic alliance.
I hold two graduate degrees from New York University: a M.A. in Mental Health and Wellness and a M.P.H. in Global Public Health. In addition, I hold a bachelor of science degree from Pace University. I gained experience working in a variety of settings including schools, partial-hospitalization programs (PHP), and intensive outpatient programs (IOP) before finding my niche in private practice. In addition, I worked in the matching department at a world renowned surrogacy agency. I have found success working with individuals of various identities and ages particularly female identifying individuals in their 20s and 30s.
I have amassed over 28,000 followers on TikTok where I share helpful tips and inspiration regarding a variety of mental health topics. Additionally, I am the host of It's Not Them, It's You - a podcast that breaks down myths and misunderstandings about mental health, personal development, and emotional well-being using a millennial lens.
I am also a member of the Trauma Recovery Network of Greater Orlando. Additionally, I serve as part of the Young Executive Committee of UCP of Central Florida. Lastly, I am a proud charter member of the Alpha Beta Sigma Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. A native New Yorker turned proud Floridian, I love spending my spare time exploring all Florida has to offer alongside my family, friends, and “zoo” of cute pets!
