Hey, I’m Ameerah.

I am a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern with a dual master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and Mental Health Counseling from Barry University (2013). I also earned a Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from Florida Atlantic University in 2019. With over 17 years of experience working with adolescents, teens, and families, I have spent much of my career supporting children and families in diverse settings, including several years serving as an Educational Leader.

I am deeply passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges with empathy, professionalism, and evidence-based care. I believe that prioritizing mental health is essential to living with clarity, peace, and purpose. Everyone deserves compassionate support, especially during times of transition, stress, or emotional difficulty.

My clinical focus includes supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, trauma, and anger. I also work closely with couples facing marital concerns, including communication challenges, infidelity, and major life transitions. In addition, I enjoy supporting women as they navigate the unique challenges related to motherhood, identity, and family balance.

My background & approach

My approach is grounded in a systemic perspective and attachment theory, helping clients explore how past experiences and learned patterns can influence current relationships. Together, we work to build greater awareness, strengthen emotional connections, and develop healthier ways of relating to oneself and others.

My goal is to create a supportive, safe space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes that support your emotional well-being.
