Angela Corley
Here to help you recognize your strength, rebuild your confidence, and move through life’s challenges with greater hope and resilience.
Hey, I’m Angela!
You are usually the person who figures things out. You handle what needs to be handled, show up for the people who depend on you, and keep going even when you are exhausted. Other people may see you as capable, responsible, and strong. They may even come to you when their own lives feel overwhelming.
But lately, you may be wondering who you can turn to. Maybe your mind is constantly running through everything that could go wrong. You replay decisions, question whether you are doing enough, and feel guilty when you cannot be everything to everyone. Perhaps you are trying to hold your family together, navigate tension in your relationship, adjust to a major life transition, or meet everyone’s expectations without losing yourself in the process.
You may be accomplishing everything you are “supposed” to accomplish while privately feeling anxious, discouraged, or emotionally drained. You keep telling yourself that you should be able to handle it. That other people have it worse. That you just need to try harder, stay positive, or push through.
But pushing through is no longer working. Maybe you barely recognize the person you have become. Your confidence is not what it used to be. Decisions that once felt simple now leave you second-guessing yourself. You know something needs to change, but you feel so overwhelmed that you do not know where to begin.
You do not have to figure it out alone.
My goal is to create a warm, empathetic, and nonjudgmental space where you feel comfortable being honest about what you are experiencing. Together, we can explore the challenges weighing on you, identify strengths you may have overlooked, and help you build the confidence needed to move forward in ways that feel positive, practical, and meaningful.
My background & approach
My approach to counseling is grounded in resilience. I believe that every person possesses strengths and protective factors that can support them through life’s most difficult seasons even when those strengths feel impossible to see.
Therapy with me is not about pretending that everything is positive or minimizing how hard life has been. It is about making space for the full reality of what you are carrying while helping you recognize that your struggles are not the entirety of who you are. Together, we will explore your experiences with curiosity and compassion, uncover the internal and external resources available to you, and develop healthier ways of navigating the challenges in front of you.
I work especially well with clients who are open to learning more about themselves and exploring the experiences, relationships, and patterns that have shaped their lives. You do not need to have everything figured out, and you do not need to know what your strengths are before we begin. I will meet you with patience, encouragement, and a genuine belief in your capacity to grow.
I am currently pursuing a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Walden University, with a specialization in Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling. Before entering the counseling field, I built an extensive career in education, working with students from kindergarten through the graduate level. I have also held higher-education administrative roles in which I oversaw federally funded programs designed to support students and families.
I earned my Doctor of Education in Higher Education Administration from Florida State University. My doctoral research explored the college-readiness experiences of rural high school students through the lens of resilience theory. This professional and research background has given me a deep appreciation for the ways our families, communities, educational experiences, and access to support can shape how we see ourselves and respond to adversity.
No matter what this season of life has led you to believe, you are more than the challenges you are facing. Together, we can help you reconnect with your strengths, develop greater confidence in yourself, and begin creating a path forward that feels hopeful and attainable.
